چکیده

Overwintering and spring recovery of pine needles have important ecological significance. The natural changes in physiological state, photosynthetic function, material metabolism Pinus densiflora Siebold & Zucc. from the autumn 2020 to 2021 were assessed. rate (Pn) P. decreased first then increased, with maximum Pn observed autumn. After experiencing sub-zero temperatures winter, still performed weak photosynthesis at a temperature above zero. In spring, gradually recovered but could not recover maximum. Under winter 2020, plasma membrane permeability MDA content whereas chlorophyll Fv/Fm significantly. showed obvious characteristics freezing injury. During whole process, water remained low level (about 60%), which increase leaf age. cell sap concentration soluble sugar decrease air spring. Therefore, do improve frost resistance through osmotic adjustment. However, increasing carotenoid is helpful for tide over winter. protein contents implying they are This study expands our understanding mechanism contribution overwintering needles.

Volatile compounds and antioxidant capacity of the bio-oil obtained by pyrolysis of Japanese red pine (pinus densiflora siebold and zucc.).

In the present study, sawdust bio-oil (SBO) manufactured by fast pyrolysis of Japanese red pine (Pinus densiflora Siebold and Zucc.) sawdust was analyzed for its volatile chemical compound composition and evaluated for its free radical scavenging potential, inhibition of lipid peroxidation and reducing power. Gas chromatography and mass spectroscopy revealed 29 volatile compounds, comprising 97...

Differential Effects of Coarse Woody Debris on Microbial and Soil Properties in Pinus densiflora Sieb. et Zucc. Forests

Although coarse woody debris (CWD) is important for soil functioning, the mechanism which affects soil properties beneath CWD are unclear. Here, initial changes in microbial and soil properties were studied using homogenous CWD samples in eight Korean red pine (Pinus densiflora Sieb. et Zucc.) forests. For each forest, CWD samples (diameter: 11.1 ± 0.1 cm; length: 10.2 ± 0.0 cm) from similarly ...

Antioxidant activity and analysis of proanthocyanidins from pine (Pinus densiflora) needles

In this study, we evaluated the antioxidant activity of pine needle extracts prepared with hot water, ethanol, hexane, hot water-hexane (HWH), and hot water-ethanol (HWE), using the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) radical method. The hot water extract possessed superior antioxidant activity than the other extracts. We also compared the antioxidant activity of pine needle extracts through R...
